Description

Swiss Super-LumiNova: We have set the bar high on the amount of luminescence you can expect from our pieces and the Hyper-G exceeds that bar. With 22 layers of X1 Grade BL10 Swiss Super-LumiNova your watch will easily glow through the night.

Titanium Case Thickness: At under 10.8mm thick, the SWC Hyper-G has an incredibly slim profile for a piece that houses the SW200. The added fact that it weighs just 56 grams on the leather strap will have you forgetting you have it on.

AR Coating: With 16 layers of AR coating legibility will never be an issue under any lighting conditions. We have also added a coating of sapphire on top of the AR to further help the durability of the AR layering.

Water Resistance: A screw down crown give the SWC Hyper-G 100 meters or water resistance.

I bought this watch for three reasons, the spec (bang for buck), the simplicity of the dial vs the bunker and the polished finish (knowing it would be lightweight vs stainless steel).
It’s been a long time coming (hence only 4 stars), but the watch does not disappoint.
The blue dial is quite dark indoors and under certain lights looks black, however every time a shaft of light hits or you go outside it transforms, which puts a smile on my face.
The watch has a utalitarian feel with dress watch credentials. So I am happy wearing it with T-shirt or fully “suited and booted”.
I wear it with a blue nylon strap and that doesnt look out of place vs the supplied (more formal) leather strap.

(One minor point, although the spec says drilled lugs and the catalog photos show this, mine does not have drilled lugs.)

    Great value for 2022 !
    Thanks guys.

I concur with all that Martin Griffiths has said. The Hyper G is a great watch with a subtle look based in my opinion on the IWC Mk XXVIII and Mk XX, but costing a fraction of the price. The Hyper G looks great (I have the blue dial) and purchased later a black strap which I prefer. The Hyper G has real presence on the wrist, is super accurate to within COSC parameters and manufactured to an incredibly high standard. In my opinion the watch could be improved by also being manufactured in stainless steel (as I prefer a watch to have a bit of weight on the wrist) as well as having the SWC logo on the dial in 3D rather than printed, plus possibly increasing the water resistance rating to 200m. These 3 points are minor however and do not detract from what a great watch the current Hyper G is. I have owned my Hyper G for nearly 3 months and although I have other watches by Breitling, Hamilton, Eterna and Seiko etc they haven’t seen the light of day, as my Hyper G has been constantly on my wrist. I would whole heartedly recommend this watch.

I would concur with all that Martin Griffiths has said. The Hyper G is a great watch and in my opinion has a similar look to the IWC Mk XXVIII and Mk XX but at a fraction of the price but with the same fantastic wrist presence. It is super accurate to within COSC parameters and manufactured to an incredibly high standard that far exceeds its price point entry level in the watch market. Although I purchased the blue dial Hyper G which comes with a dark blue strap, I later purçhased a black strap which I prefer the look of. If I could influence the design of future Hyper Gs I would have it manufactured in 316 stainless steel (as I prefer a watch to have a bit of weight on my wrist), to have the SWC logo in 3D on the dial rather than printed and possibly also increase the water resistance rating to 150m or 200m. These 3 points are quite minor however and do not detract from what a great watch the current Hyper G model is. I have owned my Hyper G for nearly 3 months and although I have other watches by Breitling, Eterna, Hamilton and Seiko etc they haven’t seen the light of day, as my Hyper G has been constantly on my wrist. All in all in my opinion there is nothing to dislike about the Hyper G and for anyone looking to buy a sub £1k watch I would whole heartedly recommend it.
